History Events & Activities

To make the 150th Birthday celebration extra special, several committees have been formed:  the Ashland Yearbook, the Hall of Fame and the Oral History Project.  In addition, look for "Did You Know" tidbits - interesting and unusual facts about Ashland and her people in the Herald Progress and on this birthday website.

Local historian and author of Ashland, Ashland, Rosanne Shalf, is preparing a summary of Ashland's history for the birthday website.  CLICK HERE for Ashland history.  Rosanne is also giving an Ashland History presentation at the Pamunkey Regional Library in Ashland on May 15, 2008 at 7:00pm.  For more information on historical presentations, check out Speakers and Exhibits
